Number of spectators attending the 2023 Women’s World Cup


The 2023 Women’s World Cup, hosted by Australia and New Zealand, is expected to break the record for the number of spectators attending the matches. One month before the tournament’s kick-off, over 1 million tickets have already been sold worldwide.

Record for the highest number of spectators in a Women’s World Cup

The Women’s World Cup with the most spectators in attendance to date was held in 2015 in Canada, with a total of 1,353,506 spectators.

That edition also marked the first Women’s World Cup with 24 participating teams and 52 matches.
